Well, I am now a crazy son of a bitch. $75 of my money gone to the documentary fund. Confound these ponies!

This is really late, but I caught up! So now all I have until the new season is fan stuff. And the BronyCon Documentary if that's finished before Season 3.

Heheheh. Well, you'll find no shortage of fan works that's for sure.
Stupid question, but overall how'd ya find the season?

Pretty good. I do know what my most hated episode was: Dragon Quest. That was just, what the hell? It could have been so good, yet they go for the stupidly generic "trying to fit in at school" plot. Honestly the best part was when Spike decided to NOT go along with the asshole dragons and spare the phoenix egg. Oh oh, and you know the "best" part? Same writer as... you know.

(Through gritted teeth) Merriwether FUCKING Williams. Responsible for abominations ... THAT, Hearth's Warming Eve, Putting your hoof down and Dragon Quest. Notable for exaggerating the characters personalities to the point they don't even resemble said characters personalities (Rarity wouldn't roll out a red carpet announcing her arrival, Angel ain't that much of a dick, Pinkie isn't that strange, Dashie sure as hell isn't there just to have people laugh at her misfortune and doesn't constantly obnoxiously sing her own praises, Fluttershy's been shown to be capable of assertion when the situation demands it, but is physically and mentally incapable of genuine cruelty, let alone becoming capable of it after being cheered on, despite her hatred of being in the spotlight, Applejack had a role in... THAT as a hypocrite, opposite of honesty. Her role in the Christmas special was intelligent. I like the girl, but I always thought she was the dumbest of the six and not for her accent and lifestyle, and Twilight is NOT stupid enough to think that a cruel, self-esteem shattering scheme is a good way to teach her friend a lesson in humility WITHOUT TALKING TO THEM FIRST!)
*Takes a deep breath* I. HATE. Williams. She destroys the world of MLPFIM as we know it and warps it into a world of annoying Mary Sues where the unnamed turn into complete douchebags for the sake of the story and the characters she doesn't like become the butt of most jokes. Fluttershy wouldn't hate/dislike anyone in ANY incarnation and I get the impression the intro scene in Dragon Quest was just to squeeze in a bit more Dashie Bashing. Same with Dashie being the only one roasted by a dragons fire despite having the best reflexes.

Hearth's Warming Eve was at least decent, ditto for Putting Your Hoof Down. *checks Putting Your Hoof Down* Ok, Williams had help with that one at least, explaining why it wasn't COMPLETE fail. Anyway, Dragon Quest contributed NOTHING to the mythology of the show! It could have been a really interesting episode, but Williams FUCKED IT UP!

I enjoyed Dragon Quest simply for the presence of dragons, but I was also very disappointed. I was hoping for some mythology expansion myself.
I admit, I can picture Fluttershy getting a bit aggressive after some assertion training because of all her years being a doormat, but I don't think she would viciously berate her friends to the point of driving them to tears.
Most of William's works are pretty disappointing, but you gotta admit Canterlot Wedding was the shit. Maybe it was her way of making up for all of the upsetting episodes throughout the season? Who knows, we might get a good one or two out of her next season, she's proved herself capable with the wedding.

Williams didn't even work on Canterlot Wedding, thankfully. Megan McCarthy did. And like you said, Spectre it was the shit (well, still is). It was basically a movie, which was fan-fucking-tastic. I wonder how they'll top it in Season 3.

I can agree with Fluttershy becoming more... assertive given enough time, but also think that even if that happened she'd overcome her personal fears and repay her debts, as opposed to physically attack her friends just to get out of something she doesn't want to do. If it wasn't a williams episode and she did that, she'd probably stay and apologise for her actions, minus the broken bones (can't state enough how relieved I am Dashie's mad of iron.). ... Ya thought she worked on the last two? Not sure how ya came to that conclusion Spectre.

She didn't? Huh, must've gotten names mixed up or something. I really don't keep track of who makes episodes, I just pick up bits here and there.
Thats the advantage of being a western toon. You can endure inhumane amounts of punishment and violence and get out with a knot that lasts about ten seconds. Or endure a point blank shot from a double-barrel shotgun and get away with a soot-covered face.

I guess you're right mate. Looking back on it, injuries are only ever present when the scenario calls for it. Here's hoping there'll be a few more episodes/seasons than just 13/3, but if it ain't the case... I just hope they end the series well. That's all we can ask for really, but with the amount of fanworks I have reason to think the community'll keep going for a while yet ;D.
Personal irritation here, but I think Madcap's being an idiot and leaping half the universe to arrive at conclusions again.

I've been reading his reviews. I can't tell if he's trying to be humorous or if he doesn't really like the show. They're amusing to read, though.

I never bother with Madcap's massive walls of text he calls reviews. So, yeah.

Personally SEASON 3 EPISODE LIST IS FAKE AND GAY I highly doubt the authenticity of that season that was shown and that odd description of a movie. I don't think they would have the entire 3rd season and movie planned at that point. Seriously, I'd probably hate that last episode about them growing old. I mean, shit...I wouldn't want to watch it, but if I were to miss it it would nag me forever. Personally I can't help but picture the series going on for about 4 seasons, with a movie. Maybe two movies with it's popularity. I want it to last as long as it can, but I don't want it to get so old it would become stale....Or...Worse... REPLACE THE VOICE ACTORS. *scream of horror*...That almost hurt to even think about. Now I gotta go and watch something funny to get my mind off the horror.
