On top of that, it'd destroy the Twilight Sparkle we've grown to know and love and replace her with a Mary Sue. You hit the nail on the head so hard it shattered. That's EXACTLY my issue with that idea and why I hope it'll get Jossed HARD. Also I've been seeing it around. Mainly because of Celestia's comment in the beginning of the Crystal Empire Part 1 about Twilight being "almost ready" for something. Also there's some art of Twilight with wings from an event Hasbro was at but I just dismiss that as a screw up on their part.

Urgh, that makes me nervous it might actually happen....What could she be "Almost Ready" for?
I just can't picture her as an alicorn.

Me neither. It'd just be dumb! And pointless!

*Closes eyes and takes a breath* As much as I want to burn whoever came up with the idea, there's no point worrying about it until the episodes are released. I can't believe I'm the one saying it for once.
Plus, if the *Shudders* second song is any indication, they probably won't. The middle of an invasion by an incorporial madman isn't exactly the best time to start 'singing' cheerfully. I fucking hate what passes for music in that show... Anyway, point is that if it's passed by the time it's sung, Celes missed the time to bestow it on her. Besides, she acts wise, but honestly doesn't seem that old and let's be perfectly honest, Luna's more than capable of ruling somewhere by herself assuming she's become accustomed to the modern world, which I'm guessing she has, plus the whole thing about having prior experience alongside Celes. And with Twilights personality, she'd make for a... poor choice.
I can think of some ideas. Court wizard, ambassador (Stupid, I know) etc. Besides, it's called (And I'm in physical pain typing this) 'my LITTLE pony', not 'my little ponies and horse-sized pseudo-goddess alicorn'.

I've been listening to Rarity's theme while grinding on Adventurequest, I have to say when I heard it at first ,it was my least favorite at the time due to my initial thoughts of it not fitting Rarity. THEN I listened to it a couple times, and noticed it has the rhythm of "Art of the Dress"....That and the fact its actually really damn nice sounding, caused it to shoot up to the top of my favorite FIM soundtracks followed by Twilight's theme in a close second. I could listen to it for ages. I don't get why Whitetail gets so much crap about his/her music. So far both the themes he released sound really good and fitting. (Not sure if I hear anything from the series in Pinkie's theme, but it's incredibly fitting for her.) Rainbow Crash is great, but I don't see why people seem to hate Whitetail. I guess he's a bit more techno-oriented whereas Crash seems to have a metal/rock lean in his songs. People do seem to crazy about metal these days...

Yeah I tend to prefer rock/metal, but I'll listen to damn near anything if I think it sounds good (which usually end up being anything not "gangsta rap").
Anyway, back on topic. I wonder how much longer it'll be before we get Fluttershy's Fighting is Magic theme. I expect it'll have hints of So Many Wonders (or maybe her parts of Find a Pet) in it.

I tend to mainly enjoy anything that doesn't have actual singing in it, I generally hate all metal with lyrics besides Nightwish's older songs and instrumentals. Seriously, electric guitars and other metal instruments sound great, but I can't tend to hear them with the possessed emo monkeys screeching like they're being boned by a giant bean weevil....In other words, the "singing".
And I utterly despise rap, minus ones that have comedic value, like "Kirby's Gangasta Rap" and memetic ones like "King Kong".
I'm wondering myself when Fluttershy's theme is going to be released. I'm leaning towards it being around So Many Wonders. But I could also picture it having "Find a Pet" in it.

That was....Disappointing.
See my (first one in quite a while) post in the MFF's thread.

Yeah we've said the same damn thing. Sombra was a total disappointment. I mean, Chrysalis had more screentime than him and she only got ONE episode! Ok, she was disguised in Canterlot Wedding Part 1 but still.

Kinda unnerved the third season kicked off like this. Especially with all the hype that was built up for it. Hopefully the rest of the season will be more entertaining.
Also kind of have to agree with Shadow about Williams. Though honestly I'd prefer it if she just stopped flanderizing/warping characters and wrote the episodes better, I honestly thought most of them had potential with MDW aside. I didn't think "Putting Your Hoof Down" was that bad beside Fluttershy getting that vicious streak. Just seeing her berate Rarity and Pinkie like that was quite unpleasant. Assertive Fluttershy is OK, Flutterbitch is a "Fuck No", I don't see why people like her.
Not to mention those dickheaded merchants whom I wanted to punch. She really should have just gone to a grocery store instead of what appeared to be a farmers market. (Then again maybe Equestria isn't advanced enough to have grocery stores...)
Also she portrayed angel as a little bratty bastard. Although he is visually ill-tempered in general, he's usually just trying to get Fluttershy to come out of her shell. Not to mention he's protective of her, like in the "Gabby Gums" episode when the CMC came to Fluttershy's house after writing that ugly article about her, and were "greeted" by him at the door. He also seems to like helping her, like when he tried to help her brownnose Twilight into giving her the gala ticket. Honestly I really like him as a supporting character.
I think she oughta watch the show over herself and get a right idea of what their personalities are actually like.

I personally liked this opening. Sure it wasn't perfect and the antagonist was underwhelming, but everyone got a solid amount of screentime and played off each other pretty well. Still don't like Celes, but Pinkie's become Pinkie Pie again and even Fluttershy isn't annoying me as much as she used to. You could replace Rarity with a giant slab of ham and it'd hypothetically be the same, Applejack has no personality yet to speak of, Dashie is Dashie and Twilight's still a perfectionist who goes berserk if anything doesn't fit her pre-determined schedule. ... I read somewhere that Celes' test might've been to break that habit, leading to potential character growth. I hope they're correct, it'd be the first think the sun goddes actually did right. All three of her prisoners have escaped and she sent her sister to the moon instead of coming to an agreement.

Last week's episode, was alright. I kinda liked it but it wasn't the best. Now THIS week's episode, I can't wait.

I certainly hope so. These past three episodes haven't really entertained me much. Though I admit they had their good moments.

Skipped the last episode. It'll probably end up being like PYHD, the episode with the mule or the one in the first season involving the CMC singing in crappy costumes in that I'll never get around to watching it.
The Pinkie episode was decent, but I ended up wanting to do one particular thing to every last eternally damned clone, that being STAB THEM IN THE THROAT! Still, the thing is that she's actually Pinkie... and those abominations reminded me of how she was in the second season. A 'Take That' perhaps? Also looking forward to Trixies return and hoping it won't end with cheap forgiveness. NO sob story can redeem such an action, especially if the posters and statues screenshot is real, the one being banished is among the six who saved Equestria three or four times (Seriously, without their intervention I honestly think Chrysalis would've won. And not just because of Twilight. If the others didn't help kick as much arse as they did, I'm convinced the changeling queen would've just conqured Canterlot instead of directing what seems to be the majority of her force to either attacking the M6 or guarding the EOH.) AND the obnoxious one seems to be wielding a power that isn't her own.
Forget what episode's due after this, but hope it's good. And honestly, I don't care if the episodes aren't exactly Hurricane Fluttershy-level of quality. As long as they're still good. By which I mean better than Williams' episodes and most involving the CMC. Seriously, they don't have to be GREAT, they just have to be GOOD. And so far, the team's done that pretty well. Merriweather Williams is an abomination to good TV (Or at least cartoons. I've had a look at other things she's worked on, among which appear to be spongebob and Angry Beavers. I ain't touchin' tha former with a ten km pole and remember the latter as mediocre at best.) who doesn't deserve to be counted among them.

I haven't really enjoyed any episodes so far. Maybe the show's just losing it's magic for me.
Huh, I used to love Spongebob when I was little, I watched it all the time. Honestly that show was hilarious(And sometimes disturbing and terrifying) despite being ridiculous slapstick.
I've watched a few of the new modern episodes with my little sister, and It definitely seems Williams has been writing for it. Most characters are now flanderized all to hell! But with a show like this, it can actually still work.
